Motivation

I got my elliptical on Monday night, and this past week I worked out 4 times for 30 minutes each. I got little bouts of "I don't wanna" but I remembered something I saw on an MTV Made show recently: "Sometimes you have to do stuff you don't want to, to get what you want." Corny I know, but it motivated me. So I dragged myself on there and just did it, even at 3am (I work nights). This week I felt great and really proud of myself.

What do you guys do for motivation to work out?

sadly, i dont really have the motivation..that is part of my problem..even the fact that i am in a wedding in october isnt motivating me to get to the gym..and i live on campus, so the gym really isnt all that far...;)

Awesome, getting your elliptical! Very very cool that you've keep yourself motivated and keeping up with it. Those are a couple of the hardest things. What do I do for motivating myself to workout? To hop on the scale and see the pounds dropping, that's plenty of incentive for me! Plus, after a while, since I'm going on a month straight, it just becomes habit and a part of your day, especially doing it everyday. Without even thinking about it, I go to the gym, and there's only 1 day that I skipped, not b/c I wanted to, but didn't get back here til later, and was too tired. But only missing 1 day in about 3 and a half weeks, isn't a biggie. Keep it up girl!!! :)
